INTRODUCTION

Have you ever watched a baseball or a football game in which your favorite team –- fielded by highly-paid professional athletes – played horrendously, and said to yourself: “a team of little old ladies could play better than that?” Well, I have. They played so badly, in fact, that you felt that you should be the one getting paid for watching the game – not the losers you had watched getting creamed on the field. We won’t name names, but you know who those wimps are.
Although your remark about fielding a team of little old ladies may have been made in jest, for some tasks the right team might indeed be a group of elderly folks. May each and every one who reads this short narrative find the right niche in which to serve – one in which they can feel needed – in which they can realize the dream of being all that they can be.
